This trailer is gorgeous! From the art style of claymation, Laika studios has knocked it out of the park. I appreciate the detail we have between the “world” the characters face everyday and the magical world. The colors don’t feel too muted or bright to the point where it’s nauseating to look at.

The characters, from the trailer don’t feel to obnoxious and just want to explore the world. While that can seem cliched, the trailer makes the adventure come to life as we see the life and death situation that the characters face.

Overall, I personally love Laika studios (e.g. Coraline and Paranorman) as they pull claymation out of the grave in the animation world and they are able to amp up the colors to make it pleasant to the viewers eyes. This is one movie I would definitely check out if you are a fan of claymation.
