Forgotten Island

This is the quality that I come to expect from Dreamworks. In my opinion, this is a major upgrade from the Shrek 5 trailer that was released last week. The story and visuals feel engaging and is something I can definitely see both kids and adults can relate to.

Never thought I would see Saweetie’s Best Friend and Don’t Your Forget About Me be mashed together and in any other trailer or music stance, it wouldn’t work. However, it worked since the two themes of friendship and memories are at the core of this movie. I personally love the animation style as the colors vibrate across the screen and this is the type of animation that we need to see more on the big screen. It’s innovative and would love to see more of these bright colors/contrast between light and dark can be in the setting of the forgotten island.

Something the trailer does is it grounds us into the story and stakes without giving too much away. I am able to wonder what will happen next, which is something a trailer hasn’t made me do recently since trailers nowadays gives away a lot of the plot and sometimes its not even worth it to watch the film, though sometimes I still do.

Anyway, this is the movie I would recommend this Dreamworks movie over Shrek 5
