The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping

The new The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping trailer and it’s intense.  My initial reaction is I know I am not ready for this movie!  Yes, I’ve read the book but from the carriage scene to seeing the setup on Wiress and Beetee, I know this movie is going to destroy me emotionally. 

I love the intensity and the color scheme they used to promote this movie as we see the bright colors slowly being incorporated into the Capital vs. The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.  However, the one thing I wish they would pull back on the intensity of the colors.  It feels very techno and in The Hunger Games trilogy, the colors were more muted compared to this trailer so I wish they did strip back on the neon colors they used so we could see the underlying story.

With that being said, the casting feels accurate to the characters and I am excited/scared to see how this movie will come together! 

P.S. I know I will hate Drusilla, similar to how I loathed her in the book but can’t wait to see Glenn Close portray her!  Along with Billy Porter as Magno.
